FAQ regarding Dialysis Treatment

Q
Will my medical expense increase if I choose a shorter or a longer treatment?
A

Your medical expenses will be the same whether you choose the shorter or longer treatment.

Q
Can I extend the treatment during the dialysis session?
A

We are very flexible to our patients individual needs. Therefore, there is no time limit.
Patients can come to the hospital at their appointed time, and can extend their treatment longer if that is what they want to do.

Q
I am anxious extending my dialysis treatment.
A

All patients want their treatment done in a short time and also be effective. We provide a longer treatment because it will make a difference on the patients quality of life. If the patients extend the treatment for 10minutes every time they come in, they can experience the difference. Patients can decide whether they want the shorter treatment or the longer treatment. It will be the patients’ choice.

Q
Does hemodiafiltration (HDF) really have any effect?
A

There are some patients who are concerned about the effectiveness of hemodiafiltration, but I believe that is a preconception coming from those who have not tried the treatment. The fatigue after the treatment will decrease dramatically, and those who had tried the Hemodiafiltration knows it is a better treatment, it will help patients live a comfortable long life. Patients can rest assured that the treatment is very effective.

Q
Do you have an introduction to dialysis?
A

We do not have an introduction of hemodialysis. You will need to go to a hospital or a specialized institution to prepare for the dialysis treatment, you will be receiving from our clinic.

Q
Is the transportation service complimentary?
A

We offer the service for free. Once the patients start the treatment, they will need to come to the hospital three times a week, which will be a little inconvenient for families and patients. To lessen the stress from the patients life we offer transportation service for free. We have received words from patients saying “This service has reduced some of my concerns.”
