What is hemodialysis?
Hemodialysis is a treatment for people who have kidney disease to filter wastes from their blood before it build up in their body.
The kidney cleans the blood, when the kidneys are failing usually a doctor recommends a medical treatment such as renal dialysis, also known as kidney dialysis. The most common type of dialysis is called hemodialysis; an artificial kidney is used to remove wastes and extra fluid from blood. In order to get blood through the artificial kidney a surgery is performed. Arteriovenous fistula is the preferred method for access point. Peritoneal dialysis is a type of dialysis where the blood is cleaned inside of the body. through surgery a doctor will place a catheter into the belly. Kidney failure is not usually permanent, a patient with acute kidney failure will only need to be placed on dialysis for a short amount of time. Patients in chronic or end stage renal failure must be placed on dialysis for the rest of their life, these patients a doctor could recommend to put them on a waiting list for a new kidney. The average life expectancy of patients with kidney dialysis is an additional 5 to 10 years. There have been some cases patients have live up to additional 20 years.
Hemodiafiltration (HDF) and extensive dialysis treatment provide comfort to patients.

There are two types of dialysis; Hemodialysis and Hemodiafiltration also known as Hemodiafiltration (HDF). Hemodiafiltration is the best option because it combines the best of both dialysis. This extensive treatment cannot be found in any hospital or clinic. hemodiafiltration (HDF) can release large amount of molecular and protein-bound uremic toxins which is hard to release in general.
It also can prevent being affected by amyloidosis. There are many cons with this treatment. It will also help arthralgia, irritation, insomnia, anorexia, and anemia. Patients who have been on dialysis treatment for over 10years, have the risk to developing complications, but this hemodiafiltration (HDF) treatment could reduce that risk.
Offering Longer Dialysis Treatment
We have special feature. We offer “Frequent and longer dialysis treatment”. Hemodialysis is done 3 times per week, for 3 to 4 hours per visit. Extended dialysis treatment takes longer. Longer dialysis treatment is defined as “3 times a week, more than 6 hours each session” or “more than 3 times a week, total more than 18 hours in a week”. Extending the time of the dialysis treatment would be more effective.
It allows removal of fluids and waste at a slower pace, with the benefit of removing a larger amount from the body. Patients would be less tired, stabling blood pressure will improving also anemia, and so on. In fact, our patients who have experienced the longer dialysis treatment had said “The itchiness of my skin went away.” “My headache is not as bad as it used to be.” “I can now do some chores after I get home.” These experiences are those who have been doing dialysis treatment for more than 20years.
The Purpose of Longer Dialysis Treatment
There are many patients who wants to have an extended dialysis treatment, though there are a few hospitals that offer this. It is because most hospital has limited beds. However, our clinic can accommodate patients who wants to have an extended dialysis treatment. Patients will appreciate our personal care making their stay stress-free.
A System that Monitor Patients
Some patients may have some concerns staying in a private room that they would not have the care of a nurse. We have a system that monitor our patients’ safety and security, it is called “Nemuri-Scan” (Paramount Bed CO., LYD.).Nemuri-Scan monitors patients’ sleeping habits wand is use in facilities and hospital for the care of the elderly. This device is extended in other medical fields.

Nemuri-Scan is placed under the mattress and monitor the patients’ motions, for example rolling over, breathing, heart rate and the patients’ sleeping condition, whether they are in bed or not. This real-timemonitor-system let the nurse know how to provide the best care to patients, and when to respond quickly to any medical situation.
Foot Care
The most common kidney failure in hour hospital is diabetic nephropathy. Once you are diagnose, our medical staff will give you the best advice on how to manage your diabetes, including your diet and exercise. Out of control blood sugar can lead to poor blood circulation, or known in medical term as Necrosis. Our staff will discuss how to properly care of patients foot, including ingrown toenails, callous and cuts to prevent any problem including amputation. We ensure prompt medical care when needed.

Quality Control of Treatment Water
Large amount of water is needed for dialysis treatment. Hemodiafiltration (HDF) is the latest treatment. Tap water has amount of many inorganic contaminant, organic pollutant, calcium, and magnesium, chlorine, bacterium, and bacterial toxin. This elements or compounds must not contaminate the treated water. The Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy and Japan Association for Clinical Engineers have strict standard guidelines for conducting water. Our clinic uses the “Reverse Osmosis Unit” which filters the water with many films. This system is generally use in the industry. Another system that we use is “Electro Deionization EDI”. It uses special electrical equipment to control the quality of water, because of these methods the water we use is above average and it is sterilized.
